About Afrinvoice

A free invoice generator built for Africa — not adapted from a tool built for somewhere else.

Why this exists

Most free invoice generators are built for US or UK businesses. They default to USD, list payment options like "Venmo" or "Zelle," and have no idea what GRA VAT, KRA eTIMS, or MTN MoMo are.

African freelancers and small business owners deserve a tool that speaks their language — Ghana Cedi, Naira, Kenya Shilling, M-Pesa, bank NUBAN numbers, and the right tax authority labels on every invoice. That's Afrinvoice.

What it does

  • Generates professional PDF invoices — free, no watermark, no account required
  • Pre-fills the correct currency, tax rate, and tax authority for your country
  • Supports mobile money payment fields — MTN MoMo, M-Pesa, EcoCash, OPay, and more
  • Remembers your business details in your browser — no server, no cloud storage
  • Works on any device — mobile, tablet, or desktop
  • Covers 17 African countries at launch, with more being added

How it works

Everything runs in your browser. Your invoice data never leaves your device — there is no server, no database, and no login. Business details (name, email, payment info) are saved to your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype them. Client details and invoice content are cleared after each session.

PDFs are generated client-side using jsPDF. The tool is built with Astro and Vue 3, deployed on Cloudflare Pages.

Coverage

Afrinvoice currently supports Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and more. Country-specific data — VAT rates, tax authority names, mobile money providers — is researched from official government and regulatory sources and updated when rates change.

If something looks wrong for your country, use the "Something wrong? Tell us →" link near the tax and payment fields in the tool. Users in-country catch changes before we do.
